PROGRAMMER

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum BA/BS in Computer Science
  • Exhibit working knowledge of programming, logic, and relational databases (develop, maintain, query, and ananlyze)
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Access and Visual Basic
  • Knowledge of Windows 2000 and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with SQL Server
  • Familiarity with SPSS a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

This position requires a programmer that will be responsible for restructuring data files into a format compatible with the project's requirements. This programmer will be required to work with researchers, project managers, data analysts, and a programming team to create data files that meet specified design requirements. It requires a willingness and ability to learn new programming concepts and to develop special analyses of data sets upon request. A strong technical and analytical background is essential for this position. Documentation of programs according to an established style is required for all tasks.

The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented, and be able to work productively with a team or independently.
